Salcomp Manufacturing USA is establishing its U.S. headquarters in Arlington, Texas. This initiative has the potential to boost the local economy and generate 660 new jobs considerably. To facilitate the relocation, the Arlington Economic Development Council (AEDC) has approved a $1.89 million incentive grant, underscoring the company's dedication to expanding its regional operations.

Salcomp, the U.S. subsidiary of Finnish technology company Salcomp, is poised to expand its current facility at 2400 Centennial Drive by incorporating three additional production lines. The company is a market leader in smartphone adapters. AEDC's report indicates that the new positions will provide an average salary of $122,000, with more than 150 positions targeted at residents and graduates of the University of Texas at Arlington.

In addition, Salcomp has formed a partnership with Enphase Energy, a renewable energy company, to manufacture 60% of its solar panel microinverters at the Arlington facility. This partnership emphasizes the organization's dedication to sustainability and innovation.

The incentives package is anticipated to be voted on by the Arlington City Council on October 22. If the proposal is approved, Salcomp is required to declare the new headquarters by the end of the year and relocate the majority of its administrative functions to Arlington by June 30, 2025. The company's long-term commitment to the region is further bolstered by the performance agreement, which mandates that it invest $3 million in facility improvements and create 150 new six-figure positions by the end of 2028.
