Following this decision, the Mavericks will now have to decide how they will watch local TV and stream content for the next season, which is a big change.

The Mavericks and Pelicans have chosen not to participate in this deal, the league said on Friday, even though Diamond would still broadcast local games for 13 NBA clubs.

Despite the fact that the team is slated to appear on national television 30 times during the 2024–25 season, this begs the question of how fans will watch Mavericks games. All questions regarding the Mavericks' broadcasting strategy have been directed to the NBA.

Diamond Sports Group issued the press release during its current bankruptcy procedures, which began in March 2023. A bankruptcy judge will hear the company's proposed reorganization plan on September 3.

As they look into other distribution options, the NBA has stated that the new deals with Diamond are contingent upon court approval. In the meantime, the Mavericks' local broadcast future is still unknown.

The Dallas Mavericks' minority owner, Mark Cuban, has stated that the team will look for other broadcasting options if Bally Sports decides not to renew its deal. One option is for the organization to work with nearby teams like the Dallas Stars, who are starting their own streaming service.

Supporters are waiting for further information as it becomes available regarding Mavericks game access for the next season.
