The report assessed 300 cities by employing 17 metrics to ascertain their overall rankings, taking into account critical variables such as the housing market, affordability, and economic environment.

The list was dominated by McKinney, with Frisco following closely behind. Frisco was awarded the top position for economic conditions and affordability.

The study evaluated cities on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 indicating the healthiest market. Frisco achieved an overall score of 74.27, while McKinney achieved an overall score of 74.41.

WalletHub analyst Cassandra Happe stated that McKinney is an appealing option for new buyers due to its substantial proportion of homes constructed within the past decade.

Modern housing options are available in the city, as 35% of the residences were constructed between 2010 and 2021.

Frisco's housing market is also robust, with nearly 42% of residences constructed during the same period. The 84th cheapest city in WalletHub's analysis, Frisco is recognized for its favorable home prices relative to income.

Additionally, Denton and Allen secured positions 8th and 9th in the top 10, respectively. Austin was rated third among larger cities, while Fort Worth and Dallas were ranked ninth and sixteenth, respectively.

These rankings emphasize the region's allure to both homebuyers and investors as the demand for housing in North Texas continues to increase.

Due to its strong economy and diverse housing options, North Texas continues to be a preferred location for individuals seeking to acquire a residence.
